HandsUp! counts help schools measure their progress and support more students to become physically active. The Ride2School HandsUp! system is a key reporting tool used by schools in our program.
Schools can measure the number of students riding and walking to school
The information collected can be used to advocate for improved walking and riding in the local community
Download the Ride2School app on a smartphone or tablet.
Step 2
Select one day per week to count. We find Wednesday’s work best!
Step 3
Ask students how they travelled to school.
Step 4
Enter the results on the Ride2School app or web portal.
The Golden Wheel
The Golden Wheel is awarded each term to the school with the highest average active travel rate from two or more HandsUp! counts, so don’t forget to enter those counts for a chance to add your school to the Golden Wheel history books!
Term 4 2019 winner!
Congratulations to Penshurst Primary School who won Term 4 2019 with an average active travel rate of 100 per cent!
