Ride Tasmania

Getting started

Whether you’re a pro cyclist, a regular rider to work, school or the shops, or just enjoy a social pedal on the weekend, we have a range of resources and rides so you can enjoy the best of Tassie’s bike riding.

Come ride with us – We've got your back

Have fun, get active and explore Tasmania’s trails and paths with Bicycle Network Tasmania.

Join one of our free social rides and events, led by a team of supportive and experienced volunteer ride leaders. Explore local paths, learn new shortcuts and skills and connect with fellow bike riders.

Our self-guided route library extends across the State and will help you uncover the hidden gems throughout Tasmania, including the 3-week Giro Tasmania ride. Plus we’ve collated links from councils, bloggers and other organisations about paths, routes and riding experiences.

Whatever style of bike riding you love, Bicycle Network Tasmania is here to help. Contact us to learn more.

Try an e-bike

Are you interested in getting an e-bike but want to go for a ride on one before making up your mind?

Bicycle Network members can book a session on an e-bike, with one-on-one support from our experienced and friendly e-bike volunteers.

We can ride up into hilly West Hobart from the office at 210 Collins Street to show you the real power of an e-bike to flatten the hills.

If you are not already a member you can join for free for one month to cover your session.
