Handmade in their NZ factory and synonymous with quality, Ground Effect products are widely praised for their impressive durability. A typical review on their website reads, “I bought my first item, a Storm Trooper, from Ground Effect in 2009. After 15 years of use, I’m finally replacing it.” Having tested out the exceptional Storm Trooper wet weather jacket in 50 knot winds last year, I can personally vouch for the rave reviews. Enduring near-cyclonic winds and rain as a cold front swept up the coast, the bright orange jacket remained dry, warm, and performed flawlessly.
