Around the Bay 300km
Ride features
Our 300km loop ventures through Point Nepean National Park, adding car-free roads, unrivalled coastal riding and a touch of WWII history to this coveted ride around Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay.
You’ll tackle the famous Arthurs Seat climb with pristine views of the bay before a rewarding pedal through fast-paced rolling hills towards Flinders. Re-joining the main ride at Dromana, the final 50kms can’t be missed as you enjoy arguably the best of Beach Road on your return to Albert Park.

The 300 club
The ride
The route traces the entire coastline of Port Phillip Bay before taking you up the famous Arthurs Seat climb and returning to Melbourne via Flinders.
The club
This is not the United Energy Around the Bay you know. Get in early to secure your spot and have a crack at joining the 300 club.
Valet – free rider service
Valet is a free optional service for The Classic (220km) and 300km riders passing through either Sorrento or Queenscliff. We'll transport an A4-sized satchel for you from the start line to your lunch stop. You can use it to carry a fresh kit, extra tubes or a favourite snack. You will also receive a second satchel so we can return your things back to Albert Park (return satchels will not arrive at Albert Park until after 3:30pm on Sunday).
You don't need to book valet separately! Valet bags are available for collection and drop off during the rider pack collection times.
Return satchels not collected on-event will be brought back to the Bicycle Network office on Wednesday and can be collected between 9am and 5pm for two weeks following the event. All items not collected will be disposed of thoughtfully.
