Ride features

Starting and finishing at Albert Park, riders get to enjoy the pristine roads completely closed and car free. Riders can do as many laps as they wish, but riders won’t be able to start on a new lap after 12pm. The route will include one rest area along the way for the whole family to enjoy!  

The route is an achievable distance for all abilities and the perfect day out for the whole family to enjoy. Plus,kids 14 and under ride free!

  • Distance: As many laps as you want. One lap is 6km and no new lap can be started after 12pm.
  • Elevation: 7m per lap
  • Departing: 08:45am, Albert Park
  • Min. avg pace: 6km/h – ish!
  • Estimated ride time: 24min per lap (riding at 15km/h) – 1hr per lap (riding at 6km/h)

Family Ride Around the Bay - Route Map

  • Location: Swan Picnic Area
  • Nutrition & Hydration: Water, fruit, lollies 

Highlights:

  • A rest stop to pass through on each lap and take a break to enjoy the view 
  • Collect passport stickers on each lap to stick onto your rider plate and show off your achievement  
  • Celebrate back at the event village festival with friends and family as you cross the finish line to collect your Around the Bay finishers medal!
