School groups

The Great Vic is the ultimate school camp. Building resilience and leadership, the ride provides students with a challenging and fun experience along with the chance to engage and build relationships with people from all age groups and walks of life.

As a school camp it is unique. We take care of the food, campsites, medical and provide comprehensive on-route support, allowing schools to focus on education and developmental goals.

Volunteers

The Great Vic Bike Ride was established by volunteers back in 1984 and they are still the heart and soul of the event.

Each year up to 300 team members join us on our adventure and help out in various roles both on campsite and out on the route.

If you’re interested in volunteering or know someone else who might be, please visit our volunteer page via the link below.

Local community groups

Every year, Great Vic riders tell us that community spirit is the one thing that most shaped their experience on the event. They love the warm welcomes, the local hospitality and the opportunity to truly discover the very best that regional Victoria has to offer.

We work closely with each community the ride passes through to help you get involved and ensure you enjoy the Great Vic experience as much as our riders do.

Women's Community

Whether you’re travelling solo, with your sister, partner, friend or are a mother and daughter riding together, our Women’s Community program is perfect for you.

There are many benefits in joining our Women’s Community, including meeting and training with like-minded riders, receiving on-route/campsite support and more!

You can also join the Great Woman on the Great Vic Facebook group to meet and ride with other women on the Great Vic.

Loyal riders

The Great Vic Bike Ride has been going strong since 1984 and there are some riders who come back year after year to enjoy a week on two wheels with new and old friends. We want to say a massive thank you to these riders for continually supporting the event and being part of the Great Vic family!

While we have a list of riders who have joined the ride many times, we want to make sure we don’t miss anyone and would like you to let us know if you have been on five or more Great Vic Bike Rides.

If that’s you, please send us a message and include the number of rides you have done (along with the years) so we can add you to our list of loyal riders.
