A short section of the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail will be resurfaced overnight on Sunday, February 9.
The location is between Dynon and Footscray Road, near, but not connected with, other works underway for the West Gate Tunnel project.
The trail will be closed between the hours of 10pm until 2am the 10th of Feb 2020.
The works will re-profile the path and add a spoon drain to make it less susceptible to flooding.
Transurban is responsible for managing the Trail along the lower reaches of the Moonee Ponds Creek.
Several of the underpasses can be subject to flooding, and although there are pumps at each underpass, the combination of rain and tides, especially king tides, can overwhelm the pumping.
Never-the-less, efforts continue to improve conditions for riders.
