Upgrades to the Main Yarra Trail as part of the Chandler Highway upgrade project will be celebrated on National Ride2Work Day with a free community breakfast.
Join Major Road Projects Victoria and Bicycle Network for coffee and breakfast snacks on Wednesday 16 October as you make your way to work.
A bike mechanic will also be on hand for free bike tune ups.
The Chandler Highway Upgrade has installed 1.2 kilometres of new shared user path and 2.2km of on-road lanes.
It has also fixed a missing link by removing 70 frustrating steps between the trail to Yarra Boulevard, replacing them with a ramp that can not only be used by riders, but also people with mobility issues.
All riders are invited to join the free event at Chandler Park, near the new Chandler Highway underpass.
RSVP is not mandatory, but we would like it you could register for National Ride2Work Day.
