Night closures of Kororoit Creek Road

Overnight maintenance works on the Kororoit Creek Road in Williamstown North and in Altona will close the arterial road on several occasions between now and early December.

These closures may impact riders who have switched to Kororoit Creek Road because of the long-term closure of the Racecourse Road-Altona Road connection to Altona to replace the ford crossing of the creek estuary.

The maintenance works on Kororoit Creek Road will occur progressively at two sites over four nights, from 8pm-6am between 21 November and 5 December, weather permitting (excluding Friday and Saturdays).

At Williamstown North the closure will be between closure Techno Park Drive and Williamstown Soccer Club with signed detours in place motor traffic through local streets.

At Altona the closure will be between Toll Drive and the Kororoit Creek with local detours on Millers Road, Barnes Road and Grieve Parade.

Local riders may choose detour routes more suitable for bike traffic.

Electronic message signs are displayed along the road to communicate advanced notice of the works, road closures and detours.

There will be temporarily reduced speeds in the work area to keep crews and road users safe.
