Get ready to ride, scoot or skate to school

More than 350,000 school students around Australia will travel actively to school on National Ride2School Day, Friday 21 March.

Australia’s biggest celebration of active travel is one of the best days on the school calendar and showcases the importance of an active lifestyle.

The nationwide campaign attracted students from more than 900 schools around the country in March 2024.

And this year, many more will discover the joy of riding a bike, or rolling a scooter or skateboard to school.

National Ride2School day helps teachers and parents encourage young people to discover the joy of riding and kick start healthy habits for the future.

The Bicycle Network campaign is supported by posters, campaign ideas, counting sheets, environmental information, resources for social media and more.
