Construction begins on next Jindabyne path stages
Work has begun this month on the next two stages of the Jindabyne Shared Trail project, connecting Tyrolean Village to Kunama Estate and East Jindabyne.

Trail users in the wider East Jindabyne trail network should be alert for changed trail conditions, temporary closures and detours and construction crews and equipment while works are underway. Works are taking place, weather permitting, between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Of the stages now under construction, Section 1.1 of the project links Tyrolean Village and Kunama Estate, while Section 2.1 connects Tyrolean Village and East Jindabyne boat ramp.

The Lake Jindabyne Shared Trail project will eventually provide a 50-kilometre trail network for mountain bike riders, walkers and trail runners around the southern half of the lake.

It will include a full circuit from the Jindabyne town centre with options for a shorter journey from either East Jindabyne, Tyrolean or Hatchery Bay.

The long-term project is funded by a New South Wales Government grant.
