Entries to Peaks Challenge Falls Creek 2019 opened exclusively to Bicycle Network members last week, giving early access to the legendary ride before general public.
If you've been thinking about taking on the challenge but are waiting to secure your place, it's time to stop putting it off. Here are five reasons why this is the week to commit to riding the 10th Peaks Challenge Falls Creek.
1. Pay the cheapest entry price
You won't be able to get a cheaper ticket to ride.
Member pre-sale entries are $309, but prices increase to $325 on Monday 24 September when early bird entries open to the public. Your entry still comes with all the trimmings including ride timing, valet service, nutrition from Winners, hydration, mechanical and medical support plus the finishers jersey.
If you're not a yet a member of Bicycle Network it's not too late – you can join now from just $10.99 and still have more left in your pocket than if you enter next week.
Membership comes with comprehensive bike riding insurance including medical, income and third party coverage to look after you every time you ride.
You'll also join Australia's biggest community of bike riders and help Bicycle Network work towards creating a more bike friendly and healthy Australia.
2. Score a bonus commemorative tee
2019 is a special year and we're marking the 10th edition of Peaks Challenge Falls Creek with a bonus tee.
All riders who enter during the members pre-sale will get a free commemorative and we'll deliver them during October so they can be worn with pride.
3. Kick start your prep
It's no secret that Peaks Challenge Falls Creek is one the toughest things you will ever do on a bike, so it's vital that you do enough training and preparation.
Securing your entry means that Sunday 10 March 2019 is locked in the calendar and your goal is set. You now have the best part of six months to saddle up and get ready to ride the legend.
4. Lock in your village accomm
The next thing to do after booking tickets is book a place to stay, and at Peaks Challenge Falls Creek you really want to be on the mountain and in the heart of the village.
It can sell out however, so beat the hoards and find a place to rest your head where you can easily wheel down to the start line on the morning of the ride, and get back with minimal effort afterwards.
5. Get the inside word
You'll get access to the special Bicycle Network Members Lounge on the Saturday at the event.
The Members Lounge is a spot to relax, get a drink and other goodies on us, and importantly hear a special briefing from Team Bicycle Network who will give you insider tips to help you tackle the ride.
Sessions will run with team riders from each wave, so you can get specific advice to help you achieve your goal finish time.
These sessions are golden and it's a great way to meet the team and get to know them before your hit the road on the ride day.
