Have an easy visit to the Taste of Tasmania by arriving by bicycle and go in the running for a free day’s e-bike hire from Cranke.
Bicycle Network Tasmania will be running bicycle valet parking just near the Taste of Tasmania entrance at the corner of Morrison and Murray Streets.
Volunteers operate the valet parking, which will be open 10.30 am – 8 pm from Friday 28 December until Thursday 3 January, except for New Year’s Eve when it will shut at 4 pm.
Just lock your bike up and spend the hours away safe in the knowledge someone is keeping an eye on your bike.
Everyone who uses the valet parking and signs up to receive or keep receiving In the Loop goes into the running for a free day’s e-bike hire from Cranke for two people.
Bicycle Network volunteers will also be offering valet bike parking at Blundstone Arena for Hobart Hurricanes cricket matches on:
- 24 and 28 December
- 4 and 29 January
- 7 February
All our valet parking is free to use and run by volunteers. If you’d like to volunteer to help out Bicycle Network deliver our activities in Tasmania then just fill out the form on this page and we’ll be in touch.
Bike parking at MONA FOMA
If you are heading north for the MONA FOMA festival in Launceston, our friends from the Tamar Bicycle Users Group are providing valet bike parking at the Inveresk site Friday 18 – Sunday 20 January.
And again for the Festivale food and wine festival, Friday 1 – Sunday 3 February.
Social Rides
We don’t have any social rides planned for January or February yet, but keep your eye on our social rides calendar as more may be added as our ride leaders get inspired by the summer weather.
Summer is also a good time to try some of our self-guided RidewithGPS Ambassador routes. We have 13 rides listed and keep adding routes to this great website.
