Alfred Street in Harris Park, a priority cycling route in the Parramatta area, is set for some bike-friendly upgrades, including prioritised bicycle crossings at roundabouts.
The proposal seeks to add a separated bike path on the eastern side of Alfred Street between Eleanor Street and George Street, as well as priority crossing points on:
- The southern and eastern legs of the intersections of Alfred Street and Eleanor, Virginia, Weston and Alice Streets
- The southern, northern and eastern legs of the intersection of Alfred Street and Prospect Street
- Across Alfred Street at Clay Cliff Creek, and across Oak Street at Alfred Street
- Across Gray Street at Alfred Street, Granville
People live or ride in the area can give feedback on the proposal, with the City of Parramatta releasing a Draft Concept Design for Stage 2 of the project.
It is open for public exhibition until Tuesday 31 August. Online submissions are encouraged via the council's submission form or on the feedback map.
