Plan your ride: Works on St Georges Road

Melbourne Water is conducting investigation works on St Georges Road from Wednesday 24 August for 2 weeks.

The St Georges Road bike path will not be closed. Temporary fencing and flagging will be in place to ensure the safety of cyclists and pedestrians using the bike path.

These works are to understand more information about flowmeters that are located on the St Georges Road bike path, close to Northcote High School near Clarke Street. Flowmeters monitor the amount of water passing through the pipes that supply the population with safe quality drinking water.

These works will be performed intermittently over a 2-week period, weather dependent. All works will be completed during daytime operational hours Monday–Friday, 7 am – 6 pm. As such, there may be increased traffic due to construction works during this time. There will be traffic management in place to protect the community.
