Shock bike light charger recall

A charger for a powerful bike light has been recalled because the plug pins are uninsulated resulting in the risk of electric shock.

The recall notice says the chargers do not comply with the Australian electrical safety standards and that an electric shock could cause serious injury or death.

Cleanskin Battery Charger is used to charge lithium ion batteries for the Cleanskin Duo 2200 Lumen LED bicycle light

Affected models will be labelled with model number SKLC-0840-1000.

Consumers should immediately stop using affected chargers by first switching it off at the power outlet (often on your wall) and then removing the adaptor from the power outlet.

Consumers should store the charger securely and go to register their contact details and to make arrangements for the safe disposal or return of the product for a replacement free of charge. Registrations can be made here.
