Police hunt hit-run driver

Geelong Highway Patrol officers are appealing for information after a hit-run collision involving a bike rider in Lovely Banks, north of Geelong, on Tuesday 21 February. 

Police have been told a vehicle and cyclist collided near the intersection of Emmerson Road and Lovely Banks Road about 9:00am.

The rider was ejected into a drain on the side of the road.

The vehicle, described as being a white 4WD with a toolbox on the rear, failed to stop at the scene and was last seen travelling east on Lovely Banks Road.

The rider, a 33-year-old Lovely Banks man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
