Bicycle Network's Board declares support for the Voice

Bicycle Network's Board has resolved to champion support for the upcoming referendum for a Voice to Parliament and publicly support the Yes vote.

Bicycle Network is privileged to operate on the traditional lands of First Nations people right across the country, from our offices located on Wurundjeri Country in Melbourne's CBD and on the land of the Muwinia people in central Hobart, to our event days on sacred lands across Australia.

Bicycle Network is a health promotion charity and we strive to achieve diversity and inclusion among all members, staff, volunteers and event participants.

We acknowledge that there is a long way to go in our nation's pursuit of a truly equal Australia. And we ourselves have work to do.

We have recently established the Great Victorian Bike Riding Indigenous Support Fund, to provide opportunities for young Indigenous Australians to experience the joy of a bike riding adventure.

We have also pledged to provide stronger support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders across all our events and behaviour change programs.

The Board of Bicycle Network acknowledges that there is a difference in views among Aboriginal communities and across society. It supports the rights of all people to make their own informed choices during the referendum.
