Train disruptions inbound for August

Riders who take their bikes on trains may encounter disruptions over the coming weeks, as buses replace trains on two routes in Melbourne.

Riders should note that bikes are not permitted to be carried on replacement buses, unless they are folded and bagged.

Buses will replace trains at the following times.

On the Upfield Line between North Melbourne and Upfield stations:

  • From 8.30pm Friday 2 August to 6.30am Wednesday 3 August
  • From 8.30pm Friday 7 August to last service Thursday 8 August
  • From 8.30pm Monday 12 August until last service Tuesday 13 August
  • From 10.30pm Saturday 21 September until 7.30am Sunday 22 September
  • From 10.30pm Saturday 5 October until 7.30am Sunday 6 October.

On the Sunbury line between North Melbourne and Sunshine stations:

  • From 11.30pm Saturday 3 August to last service Sunday 4 August
  • From 1am Saturday 10 August to last service Sunday 11 August.
