Register for Ride2Work day and help improve bike commutes for everyone

Registrations are now open for National Ride2Work Day 2024 and everyone is encouraged to get involved in Australia’s biggest celebration of commuter riding.

Jumping on a bike and getting active on your way to work is one of the best ways to stay healthy.

In fact, research published last month found it can cut your risk of an early death by 47% reducing your risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and mental health issues.

Whether you’re already commute daily, monthly or weekly, or whether you are looking to get the wheels turning, National Ride2Work Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the many advantages of two-wheeled travel.

Beyond the established benefits for your health, this includes saving money on public transport, fuel and parking, combatting climate change and boosting productivity at work through improved mental health and fewer sick days.

By registering your commute for National Ride2Work Day on 16 October, you’re also helping Bicycle Network understand where and how far people are riding, and where we need to build better places to ride.
