Women’s Health Week kicks off on Monday and Bicycle Network is marking the occasion with a fun social ride along Melbourne’s iconic Beach Road on Wednesday 4 September.
It’s a great opportunity to get together with like-minded women and revel in the joy of bike riding, while taking in the stunning beach scenery at a steady and supportive pace.
The ride starts at Giant in Hampton at 6am and will be led by Vida Douglas and Bicycle Network Chief Executive Officer Alison McCormack, rolling down to Mordialloc and back for a relaxing 30km ride and finishing around 7.30am.
Post-ride coffees and chats will follow back at Giant Hampton, and all participants will receive a free goodie bag to take home.
Bicycle Network is also running a social media competition for Women’s Health Week 2024. Share a photo or the words that best encapsulate why you love riding a bike, tag both Bicycle Network and Giant Hampton and post it to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #WomensHealthWeek.
Prizes include a Recon light set worth $120, a Bicycle Network family membership worth $187 and Bicycle Network musette goodies bag.
During Women’s Health Week, Bicycle Network will be offering discounted entries for United Energy Around the Bay on Sunday 6 October. A 10% discount will be applied when using code – WHW10.
Looking further ahead to September 16, Bicycle Network is hosting a social night and skills session for women taking on Peaks Challenge in 2024. More details are available here.
