Footscray Road Trail closure

The Footscray Road Trail will be closed for six successive nights from Tuesday 8 October.

The route will be closed between Shepherd Bridge and Pearl River Road each night between 8pm and 5am until Sunday 13 October.

Bike riders and pedestrians who use the trail in the evenings will be detoured across the to Dynon Road route, which has been the regular diversion when the West Gate Tunnel Works have closed the Footscray Road route.

While recent closures have been related to the construction of the overhead Veloway, the upcoming works involve drainage and other underground works in preparation for the re-construction of Footscray Road at ground level now that the freeway structure is at an advanced stage of construction.
