Concept designs for seven priority active travel pathways in the Blue Mountains are open for community feedback.
The pathways are located in Blackheath, Bullaburra, Glenbrook (Bruce Road and Knapsack Reserve), Hazelbrook, Wentworth Falls and Woodford, areas that have been identified as high priority locations under The Blue Mountains City Council’s Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan, and the Blue Mountains Bike Plan 2020.
Community feedback is open until 5pm Tuesday 17 December here. Work is expected to start between December 2025 and December 2026. The projects are expected to be completed by August 2027.
The pathways are part of the Blue Mountains Active Transport Program which aims to deliver around 30km of new active transport connections via 90 priority active transport links across all towns and villages of the Blue Mountains.
More detailed information about the Active Transport Links can be found here. They are funded through the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.
