RECALL: BMC recalls Kaius gravel bike

Swiss brand BMC has recalled the Kaius 01 brand of high-performance gravel bikes because of a faulty fork.

There is a risk of crash and serious injury as the steerer tube may crack or break during use.

There have already been incidents and riders are asked to immediately stop riding the bike.

They are asked to take their bicycle to the place of purchase for an inspection and free fork replacement if required.

The recall applies to all BMC Kaius 01 complete bicycles and frames.

Affected models have serial numbers under the bottom bracket area beginning with KAS01-XX.

The models were available for sale nationally from 1 September 2022 to 31 January 2025.
