Great Vic bike ride returns in 2025 with new format

The Great Victorian Bike Ride is set to return in 2025 on 24–28 November, offering an exciting new format while keeping the spirit of this beloved event alive.

In response to evolving rider needs, the 2025 Great Vic will run as a five-day event (Monday to Friday), with two nights at each riding campsite, allowing for a more immersive and accessible experience.

The ride will continue to showcase regional Victoria’s stunning landscapes while offering new flexibility, including loop rides and optional rest days.

Bicycle Network CEO, Alison McCormack, said the return of the event is an exciting moment for riders across Australia.

"The Great Vic has been an iconic part of Australia’s cycling scene for four decades, and we’re thrilled to bring it back with a format that’s more accessible, enjoyable, and community-focused than ever,” she said.

“While riders will still experience the incredible sense of journey that makes the Great Vic so special, this new approach allows them to slow down, connect, and truly immerse themselves in the adventure.

“With participants ranging from as young as 2 to 85 years old, the Great Vic remains one of Australia’s most unique and inclusive cycling experiences."
