The Great Victorian Bike Ride is set to return this year, 24–30 November, in a new exciting format that celebrates the spirit of this treasured event.
In response to evolving rider needs, the 2025 "Great Vic" will run as a five-day event (Monday to Friday), with two nights at each riding campsite, allowing for a more immersive and accessible experience.
The ride will continue to showcase regional Victoria’s stunning landscapes while offering new flexibility, including loop rides and optional rest days.
Bicycle Network Chief Executive Officer, Alison McCormack, said the return of the event is an exciting moment for riders across Australia.
"The Great Vic has been an iconic part of Australia’s cycling scene for four decades, and we’re thrilled to bring it back with a format that’s more accessible, enjoyable, and community-focused than ever.
"While riders will still experience the incredible sense of journey that makes the Great Vic so special, this new approach allows them to slow down, connect, and truly immerse themselves in the adventure.
"With participants ranging from as young as two through to 85 years old, the Great Vic remains one of Australia’s most unique and inclusive cycling experiences.”
Riding route:
