Federal active transport funds start to flow

The Australian Government’s $100 million Active Transport Fund is being dispersed, with more than $96 million allocated across the country in the past fortnight.

Local councils and state governments could pitch projects, with a focus on road safety, reducing transport emissions and supporting active and liveable communities.

You can see more detail on the projects, state by state, at https://investment.infrastructure.gov.au/about/local-initiatives/active-transport-fund
