Parkiteer goes digital
Parkiteer, the bike parking facility at train stations across Victoria, has now gone digital.

Users in the past had to register for a physical Parkiteer access card and pay a $50 refundable deposit.

Since the switch to digital, physical cards and deposits are no longer required, although physical cards can still be used and replacements purchased for a $15 administration fee.

If you have a physical Parkiteer access card, you would have paid a $50 deposit fee. There are now three options available for this fee:
  • Donate your deposit and get more kids riding. If you choose to donate your deposit, Bicycle Network will use the money to support its Ride2School Programs and help the next generation develop healthy, active habits through bike riding. To do this, please fill out this form.
  • Convert your deposit into a Bicycle Network membership. Support our advocacy and enjoy Bicycle Network membership perks (including 10% off event entry) by turning your deposit into a one-year Bicycle Network Basic Membership. To do this, please fill out this form and send your Parkiteer card back to us using this form.
  • Request a refund. If you'd prefer a refund, please fill out this form and send it back to us with your card.
If we don't hear from you by 31 July 2025, we will assume you're happy to donate your deposit in line with the first option listed above.

Parkiteer is now available in more locations and recently built facilities are bigger and better than before.

With train journeys now more reliable with fewer level crossing hold-ups, and the Metro Tunnel opening later this year, there has never been a better time to ride a bike to the station and catch a train.
