First Warburton trails open soon

The Warburton Bike Park will open its first 30km of trails on 19 July 2025.

This initial stage features mostly easy-grade trails, ideal for families and beginner riders looking to enjoy a relaxed ride.

Known as Stage 1A, these trails follow a ride-in, ride-out design and do not include trails that are accessible via shuttle.

Wesburn Park Trailhead, currently under construction, will serve as the main access point to the network.

For those connecting from the Warburton Rail Trail, a dedicated climbing trail will link the network just outside of Warburton, with descending trails leading back to Dolly Grey Reserve.

As part of the project, Council has upgraded infrastructure, including sealing the entrance road and expanding parking capacity at Wesburn Park.

To ensure a smooth experience during the opening period, contingency parking and traffic management plans will be in place.

Yarra Ranges Council will also actively monitor parking in and around the township and continue exploring additional options in line with the Warburton Urban Design Framework.

Construction continues on the rest of the network, which will feature over 100km of trails.

Warburton Bike Park asks that riders respect all trail closures.

The next stage of trails is expected to open in autumn 2026, with more options to suit wider variety of experience and riding styles.
