Join a social ride to explore & make friends

Our social rides are a great way to stay fit and explore areas you’re unfamiliar with while making new friends. The rides are run by volunteers who want to spread the joy of bike riding and provide a safe group environment so more people feel comfortable riding. All upcoming rides are featured in In the Loop but are also available for you to schedule into your diary at: https://ridewithgps.com/clubs/2014-bicycle-network-tasmania/events

Get involved in social rides

If you would like to be one of our social ride leaders, please email our Rides Coordinator with your contact details and what sort of riding you are interested in and we'll let you know when the next Ride Leader Skills Development Workshop is scheduled.

You don't have to be super fit or into competitive riding, our rides are a mixed bag depending on the interests of our ride leaders. They offer everything from short 1–2 hour rides, with stops along the way, to day-long excursions.

Our ambassador routes have been developed by our social rides coordinator Di with help from other riders. It's another way of helping more people to ride if you don't have the time to run regular social rides.

 Upcoming rides & events
  • Forth to Ulverstone – Sunday 26 October
  • Turners Beach – Sunday 30 November
