Upgrades to underground power cables on Turner Street, Port Melbourne will be underway from Monday.
This work will take place in the nature strip beside the bike lane on the corner of Salmon Street and Turner Street and will involve excavation to access existing underground power cables.
Normal pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained; however, at times, movements may be temporarily redirected under the guidance of traffic management staff.
There may be intermittent lane closures to establish a safe work zone and allow safe passage for pedestrians and cyclists around the area.
Traffic controllers will be onsite to safely guide pedestrians and cyclists.
Temporary fencing will be installed around the work area for the duration of the project.
Work will take place from Monday 22 September, and is expected to continue until mid-October 2025.
Work will be carried out Monday to Friday, between 7am and 5.30pm each day.
