Calling all female riders
A new research project at Monash University is calling for women to report their experiences of riding a bike to work or education.

The research, led by Associate Professor Sjaan Koppel at the Monash University Accident Research Centre, aims to explore women's experiences of cycling, walking and using public transport to get to work or education in both Australia and New Zealand.

The research findings will help support transport planning, policy and infrastructure to improve travel for women in these regions.

In particular, the project will look at safety perceptions and personal experiences during travel, barriers to walking, cycling and using public transport, and strategies used to feel safer while travelling.

Participants will need to complete an online survey and will go in the draw to win one of five $100 gift cards.

To participate, you must be 18 or older, identify as a woman, currently live in Australia or New Zealand and walk, cycle or use public transport to get to work or education at least once per week.
