Upgrade works at the rear of the Brunswick Tram Depot will temporarily close a section of the Upfield Trail from Thursday 23 October.
A new substation is being constructed near the rail corridor along Cameron Street between Peveril and Tinning streets.
The shared path along Cameron Street will be closed periodically between Moreland Road and Tinning Streets, with a detour on the other side of the rail line along Colebrooke Street.
Works will be underway from 7am to 5pm each day (Monday to Saturday only, excluding Sunday and the Melbourne Cup public holiday).
The trail will be closed on the following dates:
- Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 October
- Tuesday 28 October
- Wednesday 29 October
- Thursday 30 and Friday 31 October
- Thursday 6 November
- Friday 7 November
- Saturday 8 November
The works are part of a major project to upgrade the Moreland Tram Depot to support the new generation trams that are soon to be deployed across northwest Melbourne.
