Cardinia Shire in Melbourne’s outer south-east is reviewing its 2017 pedestrian and bike strategy and wants riders to submit ideas.
Cardinia is a rapidly growing area on the metropolitan fringe with patchy infrastructure for riders.
There are some great opportunities for improvements, especially in the more densely populated suburbs and in the hill country to the north, which has the potential to attract visitors keen on physical activity.
The council says it wants the strategy to improve how people walk, cycle and move around the community and the review will help plan for safer, more connected and accessible paths and trails across the shire.
"We’re inviting community members to share their experiences and ideas.
"Whether you walk to the shops, cycle for fun, or enjoy nature trails, your feedback will help shape future improvements.
"We want to know what’s working well, what needs fixing, and what new connections or upgrades you’d like to see."
The consultation closes Monday 7 December 2025.
