Children's helmets recalled

Globber Helmets for toddlers and children have been recalled.

The helmets have a flashing light powered by button batteries.

The mandatory warning sticker regarding the dangers of button batteries to children is missing from the helmets.

The sticker should also contain information about what to do when a person suspects someone has swallowed or placed a button/coin battery inside any part of their body.

The products are the Globber Go-Up Toddler In-Shell Helmet – Size XXS/XS 45–51cm and the Globber Primo Kids ABS Helmet – Size XS/S 48–53cm.

They were for sale between 1 October 2025 and 12 December 2025. Products purchased after 23 December 2025 are not affected.

Consumers should stop using the products immediately and keep them out of reach of children.

They should contact Active Outthere to arrange for either a full refund and to confirm disposal of the product, or request for a set of warning stickers to be sent, to be placed in the helmet and packaging by the consumer.

Children are at risk of choking, severe internal burn injuries or death if they swallow or place button or coin batteries inside their bodies.

Serious injury can occur in as little as two hours and the results can be fatal. In Australia, children have suffered serious injuries or died from swallowing button/coin batteries.
