Regular bike riders in and through the City of Stonnington can help with a trial of data-collecting bike lights.
You can be one of 100 regular riders who will fit a smart bike light to your frame over 12 months that will capture data such as the road surface condition, routes taken and braking.
In a project undertaken in conjunction with the Transport Accident Commission, Stonnington hopes to learn more about where people ride most, intersections and routes that need improvement, safety hotspots and road and path quality.
Using a smartphone app, participants can also log information such as near-miss locations.
These insights will inform future planning and upgrades to the local bike network.
If this sounds like something you would like to be involved in, visit the
Light Insights Trial page to learn more and to apply.
Applications close 5pm, Monday 23 February.
