Hawkesbury City Council is calling for public feedback on a proposal for a shared path bridge over Rickabys Creek at Hawkesbury Valley Way.
The Cycleway Bridge is intended to improve safety, accessibility and connectivity for riders and pedestrians across the region.
It would provide an off-road active transport link between Richmond and Windsor, intended for both commuting and recreational use.
The concept designs are now out for public consultation
here.
The designs will be further refined during the detailed design phase, with community input considered.
The Cycleway Bridge over Rickabys Creek project is funded through the New South Wales Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.
Hawkesbury City Council has sought additional funding, which will determine whether or not the cycleway can be delivered according to the current concept plans.
In the meantime, the council is seeking public feedback to help finalise the designs so they are ready to action when funding becomes available.
Community consultation is open from Friday 16 January to Thursday 12 February 2026. You can complete the online survey
here or make a written submission before 5pm, Thursday 12 February 2026, to the General Manager, Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756.
