Maroondah pedestrian network under review
Maroondah City Council wants to hear from residents about how they use the area's pedestrian routes.

The draft Principal Pedestrian Network has been developed to investigate and improve the safety, accessibility and overall appeal of walking in Maroondah, with the aim of creating more walkable neighbourhoods.

Much like safe cycling routes, walkable streets enable people to reach key destinations, connect with the cmmunity and enjoy recreational opportunities close to home.

Notably, footpaths can also be used by children aged 12 and under (as well as an accompanying adult or older child) as bike routes.

If you walk in the municipality, have your say to inform future footpath construction and upgrades along key pedestrian routes.

Consultation closes Friday 6 March 2026.
