Free Bike Valet returns for 2026 Melbourne Grand Prix™ after strong 2025 turnout

After a hugely successful rollout in 2025, Bicycle Network’s Bike Valet will return for the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026 at Albert Park.

The 2025 event saw an overwhelming response from riders, with fans taking advantage of the free valet service at Gates 5 and 10, easing congestion around the circuit and proving that the bicycle remains one of the fastest and most convenient ways to reach Melbourne’s biggest sporting events.

With strong demand and overwhelmingly positive feedback from riders, Bicycle Network has confirmed the service will once again operate across all four days of the 2026 Grand Prix weekend.

Bicycle Network CEO Alison McCormack said the 2025 response highlighted the growing appetite for active transport options at major events.

“The uptake last year was fantastic. It showed that when you provide secure, convenient facilities, people are more than happy to ride,” she said.

“Our valet bike parking works just like a coat check. Ride in, hand over your bike, receive a valet tag, and enjoy the F1® knowing your bike is stored securely.

“Bringing the service back in 2026 builds on that momentum and reinforces Melbourne’s position as a world-class event destination that supports sustainable transport choices.”

The Albert Park Grand Prix™ Circuit is surrounded by popular cycling routes, making it an easy and enjoyable ride for fans travelling from across Melbourne.

Bicycle Network's Bike Valet will again operate at Gates 5 and 10 on all event days, opening 30 minutes before and closing 30 minutes after the respective gates shut each day.
