Riders are urged to plan ahead for disruptions on several train lines this month. Bikes are not allowed on board buses unless folded and in a bag the size of a Brompton; coaches have some limited capacity for bikes.
Belgrave, Lilydale and Alamein lines
Buses replace trains between Parliament, Box Hill and Alamein from 8.30pm to last service each night, Sunday 26 April to Wednesday 29 April.
Cranbourne and Pakenham lines
Train services start and end at South Yarra from 9pm to last service on Thursday 23 April, and from 8pm to last service each night, Sunday 26 April to Monday 27 April.
Sunbury Line
Trains start and end at Footscray from 9pm to last service on Thursday 23 April.
Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Sunshine from 8.30pm to last service each night, Sunday 26 April to Monday 27 April.
Frankston Line
Buses replace trains between Cheltenham and Frankston from 10.30pm Thursday 30 April to 8.30pm Monday 18 May.
Craigieburn Line
Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Craigieburn from 8.30pm to last service, Tuesday 28 April, and from 8.30pm Friday 1 May to last service Sunday 3 May.
Hurstbridge and Mernda lines
Buses replace trains between Parliament and Clifton Hill from 8.30pm to last service each night, Tuesday 28 April and Wednesday 29 April.
Werribee Line
Buses replace trains between Newport and Werribee from first service Wednesday 15 April to 3.55am Saturday 25 April.
Buses replace trains from Newport to Werribee from 11.55pm to last service Sunday 3 May.
Werribee and Williamstown lines
Buses replace trains between North Melbourne, Newport and Williamstown from 8.30pm to last service each night, Sunday 26 April and Monday 27 April.
Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines
Coaches replace trains on sections of the Maryborough Line from Saturday 25 April to Thursday 21 May.
Coaches replace evening trains on the Ballarat Line for the entire journey from Sunday 26 April to Tuesday 28 April.
Coaches replace trains on sections of all three lines from Saturday 25 April to Tuesday 28 April.
Seymour and Shepparton lines
Coaches replace evening trains for the entire journey from Tuesday 21 April to Sunday 26 April.
Coaches replace trains on both lines from Monday 27 April to Monday 25 May.
Geelong and Warrnambool lines
There will be maintenance and upgrade works along the Geelong Line from Saturday 11 April to Friday 24 April, and along the Warrnambool Line from Friday night 10 April to Friday 24 April.
Gippsland Line
Coaches replace evening Traralgon Line trains for the entire journey from Sunday 19 April to Thursday 23 April.
