Riders are urged to plan ahead for disruptions on several train lines this month. Bikes are not allowed on board buses unless folded and in a bag the size of a Brompton; coaches have some limited capacity for bikes.
Belgrave and Lilydale lines
Buses replace trains between Blackburn, Belgrave and Lilydale from 10.45pm Friday 8 May to last service Sunday 10 May, and from 8.30pm to last service each night, Monday 11 May to Wednesday 13 May.
Belgrave Line
Trains will not stop at Boronia Station from 11.30pm Friday 8 May until spring 2026. A shuttle bus will run between Bayswater, Boronia and Ferntree Gully stations to connect passengers to train services.
Cranbourne and Pakenham lines
Buses replace trains between Parliament and Caulfield from 8.30pm to last service each night, Sunday 17 May to Wednesday 20 May.
Sunbury Line
Trains start and end at Footscray from 8pm to last service each night, Sunday 17 May to Wednesday 20 May.
Frankston Line
Buses replace trains between Cheltenham and Frankston from 10.30pm Thursday 30 April to 8.30pm Monday 18 May.
Buses replace trains between Parliament and Frankston from 8.30pm to last service each night, Sunday 17 May to Wednesday 20 May.
Sandringham Line
Buses replace trains between Parliament and Sandringham from 8.35pm to last service each night, Sunday 17 May to Wednesday 20 May.
Stony Point Line
Buses replace trains between Frankston and Stony Point from 10.30pm Thursday 30 April to last service Wednesday 20 May.
Werribee Line
Buses replace trains from Newport to Werribee:
- from 11.55pm to last service Sunday 10 May
- from 11.55pm to last service each night, Tuesday 12 May to Thursday 14 May
- from 11.55pm to last service Sunday 17 May.
Seymour and Shepparton lines
Coaches replace trains on both lines from Monday 27 April to Monday 25 May.
Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines
Coaches replace trains on sections of the Maryborough Line from Saturday 25 April to Thursday 21 May.
Coaches will replace trains on sections of the Ballarat and Ararat lines from Sunday 10 May to Wednesday 13 May.
Bendigo Line
Coaches replace evening trains on the Bendigo Line for the entire journey from Sunday 17 May to Wednesday 20 May.
Geelong Line
Coaches replace evening trains on the Geelong Line from Sunday 10 May to Wednesday 13 May.
Gippsland Line
Coaches replace evening Traralgon and Bairnsdale line trains for the entire journey from Sunday 17 May to Wednesday 20 May.
