The Toorak Road underpass on the Gardiners Creek Trail on Hawthorn East will close for several days early next month.
A light pole along the trail is to be relocated away from the creek bank to more stable ground.
Work is expected to get underway on Tuesday 9 June 2026 and be completed by Friday 12 June 2026, weather permitting.
This will require a 100-metre section of the trail to be temporally closed off and bike and pedestrian traffic diverted up the connecting paths to Toorak Road, crossing the road at the traffic lights at the Auburn Road intersection.
The signalised crossing is a pedestrian crossing and riders are required to walk their bikes to the other side.
