Rail disruptions June 2026
Riders are urged to plan ahead for disruptions on several train lines this month. Bikes are not allowed on board buses unless folded and in a bag the size of a Brompton; coaches have some limited capacity for bikes.
 

Belgrave Line

On the Belgrave Line, trains will not stop at Boronia Station from 11.30pm Friday 8 May until spring 2026. A shuttle bus will run between Bayswater, Boronia and Ferntree Gully stations to connect passengers to train services.
 

Bendigo, Echuca and Swan Hill lines

Coaches replace trains for part of the journey on the Bendigo, Echuca, and Swan Hill lines from Friday night 5 June to last service Sunday 7 June.

Coaches replace evening trains on the Bendigo Line for the entire journey from Sunday 14 June to Tuesday 16 June and Thursday 18 June.

Cranbourne and Pakenham lines

Buses replace trains between Westall, Cranbourne and East Pakenham from 8.15pm to last service each night, Monday 1 June to Wednesday 3 June.

Buses replace trains between Parliament and Oakleigh from 8.30pm to last service each night, Tuesday 9 June and Wednesday 10 June.

Buses replace trains between Parliament and Caulfield from 8.30pm Friday 12 June to last service Sunday 14 June.

Frankston Line

Buses replace trains between South Yarra and Moorabbin from 8.30pm to last service each night, Tuesday 9 June and Wednesday 10 June.

Buses replace trains between South Yarra and Caulfield from 8.30pm Friday 12 June to last service Sunday 14 June.

Geelong Line

Coaches replace evening trains on the Geelong Line from Monday 8 June to Wednesday 10 June.

Gippsland Line

Coaches replace Traralgon and Bairnsdale line trains for part of the journey from Monday 1 June to Wednesday 3 June.

Coaches replace evening Traralgon and Bairnsdale line trains for part of the journey on Tuesday 9 June to Wednesday 10 June.

Coaches replace Traralgon and Bairnsdale line trains for all or part of the journey from Friday 12 June to Wednesday 17 June.

Seymour Line

Coaches replace evening trains on the Seymour Line for the entire journey from Sunday 31 May to Wednesday 3 June.
 

Sunbury Line

Buses replace trains between Footscray and Sunbury from 8.30 pm Friday 5 June to last service Sunday 7 June.

Trains start and end at Footscray from 8pm to last service each night, Tuesday 9 June to Wednesday 10 June.

Trains start and end at Footscray from 8.30pm Friday 12 June to last service Sunday 14 June.

Werribee Line

Buses replace trains from Newport to Werribee:
 
  • from 11.55 pm to last service each night, Tuesday 2 June to Thursday 4 June
  • from 11.55pm to last service Sunday 7 June
  • from 11.55pm to last service each night, Tuesday 9 June to Thursday 11 June.
