Trail disruptions at Sunshine
As work continues on the redevelopment of the Sunshine Station for Stage 1 of the Airport Rail project, there will be minor interruption to bike routes near the precinct.
 
South of Sunshine Station, a section of the trail approaching the station will be detoured along Drayton Street and Station Parade until 6pm, Thursday 2 July 2026. 
 
For works involving the relocated jet fuel pipeline and other investigations, there will be a disruption of the path between Sunshine Station and Harvester Road until Friday 19 June.
 
For water service relocations, a section of trail between Devonshire Road and Hampshire Road/Dickson Street roundabout will be closed east of the rail line until Saturday 20 June to allow for pipe welding.
 
Please note that the dates in the first map shown below have been extended.
 
Traffic management will detour riders around the site by way of walking your bike.
