Alphington Link pushes forward
Works to connect Farm Road to the Darebin Creek Trail in Alphington are well underway.

The 120m-long and 3m-wide path is being carved into the slope prior to the installation of a retaining wall above.

Crews will soon have completed the boring and concrete pours for the retaining wall piles.

The retaining wall panels will be fitted following the installation of posts and drains.

Construction will continue on weekdays between 7am and 6pm.

Most construction works are off-road, however there will be some traffic disruption on Farm Road when crews install the raised crossing. One lane of traffic will always remain open.
Riders on the trail should be aware that golfers wishing to use the practice fairway will continue to be temporarily detoured via the Darebin Creek Trail.
