Recall: The bars are off at Mondraker

Hi-performance mountain bike brand Mondraker has recalled its OnOff S9 carbon fibre handlebar, a standard fitting on an extensive range of Mondraker mountain bikes.

Due to a manufacturing defect, the handlebar can crack or break unexpectedly during use.

There is a risk of serious injury or death if the handlebar cracks or breaks and causes a rider to lose control of the bicycle and fall.

Incidents of the handlebar breaking have occurred.

Consumers should stop using the affected bicycle immediately.

You can check if your bicycle is an affected bicycle by entering the bicycle serial number on the OnOff/Mondraker recall website.

Contact the place of purchase or your authorised Mondraker dealer to arrange for a free inspection, replacement and installation of a new reinforced handlebar.

Affected bike models with the OnOff S9 include:

  • Crafty Carbon RR S
  • Crafty Carbon XR
  • Crafty Carbon RR SL
  • Crafty Unlimited Gulf
  • Dune Carbon XR
  • Foxy Carbon RR
  • Level XR
  • Neat RR SL
  • Zendit R
  • Zendit RR
  • Zendit RR S
  • Zendit XR
  • Raze Carbon RR

The serial number can be found on the down tube or on the bottom bracket of the bike.

The products were sold nationally and were available for sale between 15 May 2025 and 5 June 2026.
