St Kilda Road improvement planning

The City of Port Phillip is developing a Place Plan for its neighbourhood along St Kilda Road near Albert Park Lake.

It is looking for ideas and priorities in order to coordinate investment in improvements in the precinct.

The zone, which is demarcated by Dorcas Street in South Melbourne to Punt Road in Windsor, and St Kilda Road to Queens Road/Kings Way, contains critically important bike connections.

Port Phillip says that existing feedback has highlighted movement and safety as major concerns, particularly traffic congestion, difficult crossings, parking, pedestrian safety, cycling conflicts and poor connections to parks, Anzac Station and St Kilda Road.

Riders can have their say on what could be better by visiting the Have Your Say website.

There is background reading, details about a pop-up conversation next week, and you can take a survey and/or make a submission.

Consultation closes at the end of the month.
