Riders on the Federation Trail in Werribee may be slightly inconvenienced this month by maintenance works at sewer manholes along the route.
Melbourne Water is upgrading manhole covers at two locations.
In the future Melbourne Water will be using CCTV to help remotely assess the condition of the underground sewer network and needs to fit nine upgraded manhole covers.
Two of those are along the Federation Trail in Werribee, one adjacent to the Princes Highway off-ramp 19, and the other near Concorde Crescent.
Machinery will cross the Trail at times under traffic management. Riders may be required to walk their bikes around the worksite.
The works are expected to take two to four weeks, depending on weather.
