Have your say on riding and walking in Fawkner

Moreland Council is seeking community feedback from residents on ways to improve riding, walking, and public transport in the suburb of Fawkner.

“Fawkner is a suburb with very high car dependency. This means that the main form of transport in the area is by cars, and other methods of getting around are difficult," Moreland Council said.

"We want to ensure that all Fawkner residents have the option to use sustainable transport options, as well as using a car, and make it easier for those who don’t or can’t drive a car to get around.

"Currently, the walking and biking network in Fawkner is limited, as is public transport accessibility. The projects we develop as part of our plan will address this."

Ideas collected from this feedback could contribute to potential projects as part of the 10 Year Capital Works Programs for Walking and Cycling.

If you are a resident of Fawkner, you can provide feedback here.

Moreland Council is also holding in-person sessions to collect feedback and answer any questions from the community on the following dates:

Saturday 1 October

11am - 1pm

Bonwick Street, Fawkner

Tuesday 4 October

2pm - 4pm
