Disruption on Francis Street

Geotechnical investigations in Yarraville may interrupt some bike journeys from later this month into February next next year.

Francis Street near the freight line level crossing will be impacted, as will Hardie Road and Cawley Road through the adjacent industrial area.

Energy connection utility AusNet and its contractors are completing geotechnical investigations, locating existing services and proving depths of underground assets to support the connection of a new development.

Next year there will be further works on these roads as the transmission assets are installed to connect the development.

Works will be underway the week starting 28 November 2022 and continue until February 2023 with a break over the Holiday period.

Work hours will be 7am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Traffic management will be in place to guide riders and pedestrians through the work zones.
